Eligibility Criteria for Recruitment in Allahabad Bank 2012
·                          Officer (Information Technology): BE/ BTech/ MCA/ MSc in Computer Science/ IT/ Electronics/ Electronics & Telecommunications/ Electronics & Communication/ Electronics & Instrumentation or Electronics with Computer Science OR Graduate from a recognized university having passed DOEACC `B' level
·                          Officers (Official Language): A Post Graduate Degree in Hindi with English as a subject at the degree level OR a Post Graduate Degree in Sanskrit with English and Hindi as subjects at the degree level
·                          Civil Engineer: Degree in Engineering in Civil from any recognized University
·                          Officer (Law): A Bachelor Degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized University
·                          Manager (Law): A Bachelor Degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized University+ 3 years experience
Age Limit (as on 1 December 2011): For Engineer and Officers post (Min. 20 years; Max. 35 years); Manager (Law) (Min. 21 years; Max. 40 years)
Selection Procedure for Recruitment of Specialist Officers (SO) in Allahabad Bank 2012
Candidates will be selected on the basis of performance in Common Written Examination (CWE) conducted by IBPS in written examination in March 2012 and Group Discussion and Interview or Interview only, taken together.
Depending upon the number of category-wise vacancies, only a certain number of eligible applicants in the descending order of (TWS Score) in the CWE conducted by IBPS in respective category fulfilling the cut-offs as mentioned above, will be called for Group Discussion and Interview or only interview at the discretion of the Bank. 
 The Group Discussion, if conducted, will be qualifying one i.e. the marks in GD will not be recognised for merit ranking. Only those candidates who secure the qualifying marks in the Group Discussion will be considered for interview. 
The interview will be of 30 marks wherein qualifying marks would be 40% i.e. 12 for General category & 35% i.e. 10 for reserved category candidates. Candidates not qualifying in the interview will not be considered for final selection. 
Only those candidates who have secured the qualifying marks in each objective test and the stipulated minimum TWS score in the CWE and also the minimum qualifying marks in the interview will be considered for final selection.
