Bank of Maharashtra is a public sector bank and is headquartered in Pune. It was registered on 16 September 1935 and started its operations in Pune on 8 February, 1936 under the leadership of Prof VG Kale. The bank presently has 1577 branches in 23 States and 2 Union Territories. The bank invites application for recruitment to the post of Clerks from Indian citizens who have taken the Common Written Examination for Clerical cadre conducted by IBPS in 2011.

Eligibility Criteria for recruitment in Bank of Maharashtra
Educational Qualification (as on 1 August 2011)
·                          A pass with 60% marks in the aggregate in Matriculation/ SSC (old pattern)/ SSLC/ 10th standard Examination of 10+2+3 pattern or equivalent. Pass in aggregate for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD/ EXSM candidates OR
·                          A pass with 50% marks in HSC examination of 10+2 (10+2+3 pattern)/ 11th standard of(11+1+3) pattern or Intermediate/ Pre-University or any equivalent examination/ Diploma in Banking recognized by Central/ State Government or UT administration. Pass in aggregate for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD/ EXSM candidates OR
·                          Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government AND
·                          A Certificate for having completed a Course in Computer Awareness & Office Automation for duration of minimum 100 hours from a reputed Computer Training Institute, which will be waived where ‘Computers' is a part of the curriculum at the Graduation/ Post-Graduation Level
Essential Requirement
·                          IBPS Score obtained in CWE for Clerks 2011(Bank of Maharashtra Cut off Marks List)
·                          Candidates applying for post in a particular State should be proficient in the language of the State i.e. know to read, write, speak and understand the language for which vacancies are advertised and for which he/ she desires to apply
Age Limit (as on 1 August 2011): Minimum 18 years, Maximum 28 years
Pay Scale: Rs 7200-400/3-8400-500/3-9900-600/4-12300-700/7-17200-1300/1-18500-800/ 1-19300 + DA, HRA, CCA, Conveyance Allowance, Gratuity, Pension, LFC, Medical Aid etc.
Selection Procedure for recruitment in Bank of Maharashtra: Selection for the post of Clerk will be based on the Total Weighted Standard Score in the Common Written Examination conducted by IBPS in 2011 and marks scored in the Interview (50 marks).
The Interview shall be conducted to assess the candidate's academic record, power of expression, clarity of thought, qualities of leadership, extra curricular activities, hobbies, general demeanor, behavior, communication skills, suitability for the post, etc.
Depending on the number of vacancies, only those candidates who are qualified in the Common Written Examination for recruitment of Clerical personnel conducted by IBPS in 2011 and possess a valid score card issued by IBPS and rank sufficiently high in the order of merit based on the Total Weighted Standard Score shall be called for a personal interview in the ratio of 1:3 or as decided by the Bank against the vacancies stipulated.
The minimum qualifying marks for the interview would be 40% for General Category and 35% for Reserved Category.   
Candidates passing the Personal Interview will be ranked in a descending order on the basis of the Weighted Score obtained in the Written Test conducted by IBPS, and in Personal Interview under the respective SC/ ST/ OBC/ GEN Category.

Application Fee: Fee for candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ PWD/ Ex- Servicemen category is Rs 50 and fee for other category students is Rs 150.
The challan should be filled in BLOCK LETTERS. Application fee has to be paid through Fee Payment Challan/ NEFT at any of Bank of Maharashtra branches in cash.
Obtain the applicant's Copy of Counterfoil of the Application Fee Payment Challan duly receipted by the Bank with (a) Branch Name & Branch SOL ID (b) Transaction ID (c) Date of Deposit & Amount filled by the Branch Official.
If paying through NEFT, the fee needs to be paid in Account BOM CLERICAL RECRUITMENT PROJECT-2011-12 (Account Number 60093624604) in Payee Bank (BANK OF MAHARASHTRA MAIN BRANCH PUNE) and IFSC Code MAHB0001150.
Apply online by re-visiting the Recruitment link appropriate places. Fill in all other required details therein and click on the "SUBMIT" button at the end of the Online Application form.
Original counterfoil of the fee payment challan will have to be submitted with call letter at the time of interview or otherwise they will be disqualified. Carefully fill in the necessary in the Online Application Form at the appropriate places and submit the same Online.
Take a printout of the system generated online application form to be submitted at the time of interview, copies of which may also be retained for your reference. The Registration Number and Password generated should also be retained for future reference.
